We expect for participants to come to the farm for two hours at a time for a duration of eight weeks. Time on the farm will be divided between therapeutic horsemanship, therapeutic riding, and outdoor activities, which can include gardening, barn chores, outdoor projects, and more. Each session is be guided by a mentor and lesson volunteer. We work with participants individually and allow them the chance to work with the same horse for their duration of time at the farm. Riding is considered a privilege and is earned by the trust of the horse and through learning handling skills first on the ground.
